Monday–Thursday: 6:30 AM–3:30 PM
Friday: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM (with flexibility based on remote parent’s schedule)

About The Role
Family Concierge is supporting first-time parents in Pittsford, NY in their search for a compassionate, reliable, and developmentally focused Newborn Care Specialist. The family is expecting their baby early summer and is looking to welcome a qualified nanny into their home by mid-September to support the transition back to work.
With early morning start times and a consistent weekday schedule, this role is ideal for a professional caregiver experienced with infants and passionate about helping first-time parents feel confident and supported.
The family places a high value on clear communication, proactive care, and a collaborative mindset. While they are new to working with a nanny, they are eager to establish a respectful, long-term relationship with someone who feels like a trusted partner in their household. The family also owns a small, hypoallergenic dog - so candidates should be comfortable with pets inside the home.
Key Responsibilities
Provide warm, attentive care for the infant throughout the day
Create and follow age-appropriate routines for feeding, sleeping, and soothing
Track developmental milestones and engage in sensory-rich activities
Maintain detailed communication with parents through daily summaries and feeding/sleep logs
Perform baby-related household tasks, including bottle cleaning, baby laundry, and tidying
Support a screen-free, nurturing environment during care hours
Offer guidance on newborn best practices and gently support first-time parents in adjusting to new routines
Be open to light flexibility on Fridays when one parent works from home
Research, identify, and transport baby to age and developmentally-appropriate activities outside the home
Ideal Candidate Profile
3–5+ years of newborn experience in private homes or as a certified Newborn Care Specialist (NCS)
Infant CPR and First Aid certified
Highly organized, reliable, and safety-conscious
Strong communicator who is open to offering guidance and receiving feedback
Enthusiastic and creative with experience planning developmentally appropriate activities
Comfortable working in a home with a dog
A clean driving record and a reliable, insured vehicle
Bonus: experience supporting first-time parents or with postpartum adjustment
