All About the Job
Family Concierge is partnering with a physician family in Rochester, NY to find an afternoon nanny for their infant. One parent is a physician with a busy call schedule. They are communicative, appreciative, and private.
What You’ll Do
- Proactively partner and communicate consistently with the family and their day nanny
- Bottles and feeds on the baby’s schedule, washed and reset before you leave
- Floor time, books, and simple sensory play for a baby with new skills arriving weekly
- Follow baby’s bedtime routine
Who We’re Looking For
You’ve cared for infants in private homes. You are punctual and honor your commitments. You can read a room, respect boundaries, and communicate efficiently.
- Infant experience in a private home, with references we can call
- Self-directed: you see what the evening needs and handle it without prompting
- At ease as the evening half of a two-caregiver team
- Discreet by nature; this is a private household
- Interest in occasional overnight coverage
Standard for our placements: Infant and Pediatric CPR and First Aid (or willingness to obtain), reliable transportation, and a sincere intention to make a long-term commitment to the family.
Why You’ll Love This Job
The work itself is one baby and his evening: a walk, a bottle, and a book (or two). You’ll have a day nanny to partner with rather than a household to carry alone, and a family that hired an agency because they wanted this done right the first time.
