Family Concierge is partnering with a thoughtful and progressive Western New York family to hire an experienced Infant Nanny-Family Assistant for their 7-month-old daughter. Both parents are working professionals with on-site and hybrid, mission-focused roles and are intentional about instilling these values with their daughter. The family is raising their daughter in a bilingual household and highly desire a caregiver who is fluent in Spanish. The family hopes to welcome another child into their home someday, so candidates looking to build a long-term relationship with their next great family are encouraged to apply!
The parents are open to welcoming a nanny who holds exceptional experience caring for newborns in a collaborative environment as they are lucky to have strong extended family support who contribute to the baby’s care. They seek a nanny who is available to commit to 30-35 hours per week, 4-5 days per week, during standard business hours (8:30 - 5:30, Monday through Friday). The family is committed to providing the caregiver with a predictable and stable work schedule.
Baby girl is a sweet and easygoing preemie, who is excelling developmentally and hitting her milestones with the support of her care team. As she currently naps for about 3-4 hours per day, the family is optimistic they will find someone who can also assist with light family assistant duties like laundry, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
This position is ideal for a socially conscious and forward-thinking nanny who has experience working with busy, on-the-go first time parents. The family’s ideal candidate will be someone who is fluent in Spanish, has premature infant care knowledge and know-how, and will easily fit into this remarkable family’s evolving parenting routine for the long-term.
What You’ll Do
Provide warm, attentive care for baby girl throughout the day
Follow baby’s cues for feeding, sleeping, and soothing
Assist parents in making fresh baby food and preparing formula
Engage baby in developmentally appropriate activities as she discovers the world around her
Lead and take initiative to follow baby’s routines including feeding and naptime schedules
Light household tidying and decluttering of child-related items throughout the day
Wash, dry, and put away family laundry
Load, run, and unload dishwasher and hand-wash dishes as needed
Wipe down kitchen counters and tables as needed
Vacuum and sweep main spaces of the home as needed
Who We’re Looking For
At least 2-3+ years of experience working as a nanny in a private home or similar setting
A Spanish speaker comfortable working in a bilingual home
Demonstrated experience and developmental knowledge of infants
Experience working for parents with demanding hybrid work schedules
Familiarity or comfort working with premature infants
Takes initiative in keeping the home tidy and organized around child and family-related tasks
A strong and confident communicator
Highly organized, reliable, and safety conscious
Open-minded and respects the family’s values, and parenting choices and is open to feedback and collaboration
Ability to commit to the family for at least one year, with a preference for candidates interested in growing with the family over multiple years
Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to renew prior to start)
A clean driving record and a reliable, insured vehicle for transporting the children
Comfortable working in a home with one dog
